Role Overview: The Junior Accountant will play a pivotal role in supporting our financial operations. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in accounting practices, with a strong emphasis on compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, eager to learn, and possess a foundational understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately record daily financial transactions, ensuring all entries are up-to-date and reflect true financial activities.
  • Accounts Management: Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
  • Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Support the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
  • AML Support: Assist in conducting due diligence checks, monitoring transactions for suspicious activity, and ensuring compliance with AML regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Audit Assistance: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of compliance standards and AML regulations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical aptitude with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professionalism: High level of integrity and ethical standards.
